We all want to save the world don’t we?
I mean, at some point in our life, we put on underwear over our pants, tied towels around our necks, swim goggles on our eyes, rubber gloves on our hands and forged forward to save the helpless citizens from the villains hiding in the shadows of the…living room.
Don’t act like it was just me!
As an adult, I put my underwear on FIRST, towels and goggles are for swimming, and rubber gloves (unfortunately) are used, more often than not, to clean my house. I may have put away the dress-up and make believe (unless I’m in a RunDisney race), but I still want to change the world. Being a graphic designer I believe, in my own tiny way, I can do just that.

DESIGN CAN CHANGE THE WORLD
Design can change the world. Good design makes people take notice. People take notice, and want to support and buy to make a change. As a student, I witnessed this first-hand. When I was in my junior year at Arizona State University, my team and I were given our first “client project”. We teamed up with Circle the City, a local Phoenix homeless respite center, to rebrand them. They had limited resources and were looking to rebrand so they could get in front of hospital directors and shareholders to show them the facts of what life was like to be homeless and on the streets of Phoenix, AZ. We were so motivated to help them out with anything they needed, we designed flyers, postcards, informational brochures, internal documents, business cards, shirts, statistical meeting decks, and a website. They were so thankful and let us know how we had impacted the organization as a whole. By having consistent branded items that aligned with their mission, they were able to confidently ask for resources to continually fund their cause. And, because they looked legitimate, more places were willing to give the resources.
By taking their mission (not just their logo), but their mission, and visually bringing it to life, it piqued a level of curiosity in me to help others. Circle the City became my launchpad to start helping others with their branding and graphic design needs.
Fast forward to today, well, a year ago when I decided to take this curious idea of helping others to the next level… actually doing something about it.
I created Tiny Fox with the mission to help as many small businesses and nonprofits as I can reach their full potential, in spite of their tiny budgets. It’s all about taking that curiously tiny idea of ‘what if I invest and start a small business the right way’ and launching it into a reality that can change the world. All it takes is one tiny step to start the journey. Come with me friend; let’s get curious about the possibilities for your small business and together, we can change the world…one tiny idea at a time.
